Connecting with Nature!

Just over a year ago my husband Robert and I bought our first piece of land. If something felt so right, as if it was meant to be; that would be Us purchasing the 13 acres hidden in the mountains of Corinth, VT. Before she passed away, my grandmother and I would discuss how god intended on me moving up here. The connection I have felt to the property through the rocks, trees, water, plants, and nature. What initially drew me to the property was a huge rock ridge along the backside of our property. There is a huge amount of quartz spread out, and is believed to enhance spirituality, creativity, clarifies thought process & emotions. Which is exactly what I needed in my life personally. I spent a very long time feeling disconnected from life and myself. Now I can spend my time in nature as I develop a strong sense of self. Here I plan to build a homestead in every sense of the word, to benefit not only myself but my family, friends, and others. This first winter has been a long and drawn out season with many ups and downs. All though there have been times of struggles, we never feel like we are meant to be anywhere else. As I stand and stare out our windows, I take in our view. A view that feels unlike any other. What I see is a piece of home. I watch the sunsets, sunrises, season's changing, stars lighting the night sky, and a moon of all phases over the passing days. I have spent more time in our woods over this past year than I have in 10 years. Every time we walk them, we are learning even more about what nature has to offer us here. I don't expect a huge follower base right off but I will post as often as possible to continue to share my journey as I go. I will try to add photos and stories, as well as information as it develops. Hope you all enjoy our story.
